While India has drastically developed its health infrastructure, public healthcare still remains one of the largest problems in the country. India has seen a drastic surge in the private healthcare sector and it now makes up most of India’s medical provision but this high-quality healthcare is only available to those who can pay or afford costly insurance policies. According to one report, lack of proper medical care is the second largest cause of mortalities in India. About 27% of the patients die awaiting medical attention; Over 16.9 million lives were lost in 2010 alone as basic healthcare facilities were not available. As a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility Program, we have taken the initiative to do our part and ease the predicament of people that are denied medical attention due to lack of resources. Our program involves taking care of full treatment free of cost of one Indian patient for every ten International patients that we serve.
